If Hamas had been willing to make a comprehensive peace with Israel and their neighbors, responsible for their own borders, it would not be just about a new hotel complex, it would be about a beautiful port or ports for economic development, it would be about trade, developing resources, and bringing in heavy equipment for building modern roads, hospitals, schools, cultivation of land, and modern technology to replace the religious obligation of holy war against the infidels.
Hamas spent untold billions on tunnels and tens of thousands of rockets, while their infrastructure and waste management remained abysmal.
