You have an incorrect and limited understanding of the world. Zionism is about freedom and decolonization. The only society in the ME where Jews, Christians and Muslims live together in peace is Israel.
Without Zionism you’d still have widespread Islamofascism. Hezbollah would still be an Iranian puppet aimed at creating a larger Shia buffer against Sunni Islam. Hamas might have a different name but it would still be a nihilistic death cult, a branch of the Muslim Brotherhood aimed most likely at Egypt, Jordan and Saudi Arabia. ISIS, Al Quaida, the Houthis, Deobandi, Boko Haram, Hizb’ut Al Tahrir, Lashkar al Taiba, the Haqqani Network, the Taliban, Jemaah Islamiyah, Ansar al-Islam, Harkat-ul-Jiahad al-Islami and al Shabab would be unchanged. And without Zionism “Palestine” would have been absorbed into Jordan, Egypt, Greater Syria and possibly Lebanon and Saudi Arabia. And there is no indication that any of them would be what we in the West consider to be free.
Nor did you understand the article. Tibetans and Sudetan Germans do not aspire to martyrdom. Palestinians do. It’s not about freedom, or “occupation”, or achieving a better life for this or successive generations. It’s about a false sense of dishonor, a failure to integrate and It’s a quick and very dirty way to get into Islam’s version of heaven.
