There is a reason why Egypt receives billions of dollars from the US government and that reason is to make sure that Egypt would never again attempt another attack on the Jews in Palestine like it did in 1973! The Jews understood that their survival on Arab soil would never be guaranteed if Egypt was not removed from the enemy list. Therefore, before the Egyptian president would meet with the Syrian president, he had to obtain permission from the US government. Meaning that this discussion was completely a waste of time!
