The Djerba Jews were Palestinians- they were expelled by The Romans in the 2nd Century. Despite 1800 years their closest relatives are today’s Palestinians and Lebanese. Ditto the Italian Rites Jews and the Greek Jews – though the latter mostly perished during the Holocaust.
