Jewish immigration was opposed well before partition for many reasons. The real defiance to their immigration started with the Balfour declaration that declared the Palestinians to be minorities in their own country. From this declaration the Jews were allowed to form government, militias, etc and the British prevented the Palestinians from any sort of organization. This culminated in a decade long Palestinian revolt in which the British further armed Jewish militias to kill the Palestinians. After the revolt was put down in late 1930s the Palestinians were left without a military or any civil leadership. Why the 1948 Nakba was able to happen with little to resistance. The British with the help of their Jewish militias destroyed and exiled the resistance. Before the partition the Jews started committing terrorism against the British to force them out. After the British the U.S. then took over as the sponsor of the Jewish colony.
The Jewish colony was only possible due to European imperialism and only exists today due to American imperialism. American imperialism employs the European powers in everything it does. So European imperialism is a theme in the ethnic cleansing and genocide of Palestine and Palestinians.
