Who has jurisdiction in international waters then? Can anyone shoot anyone in international waters without punishment?. They are lucky the judge was some leftist nitwit. Human traffickers should face serious jail time, especially when deaths occur. Minimum 20 year jail time and multiple life sentences for multiple deaths. Make it clear if they get caught their lives are ruined. And if they try to pawn of the job of smuggling to a migrant.. the migrant should also face prosecution.
