In fact, it is safe to assume that if it was not for the care and duty shown by Muslims to Jews, there would be no continuous Jewish settlement in Palestine to speak off.
Let me remind you again and again and again that Palestine had no Jewish presence when the Zionists arrived in 1882. Mr. Herbert Samuel who was Jewish and the first High Commissioner of Palestine said in 1921 that all the Jews who were there in Palestine at that time had come to Palestine only beginning in 1882 which was the beginning of Zionism. Therefore, there was no Jewish presence in Palestine before 1882. The British did a population survey of Palestine in 1922 and 1931 and the Jews who were there in Palestine were fewer than the total number of Jews who entered Palestine beginning in 1882 and the reason was because too many of them left Palestine within the first year after arriving. One more time: there were no Jews living in Palestine before the beginning of Zionism in 1882. In fact, if you search the internet for ‘Palestine + Jews’, nothing shows up before 1882.
