Palestine was liberated when the British protectorate turned it over to the UN who proposed the UN Partition Resolution in 1947. Had Arabs accepted, Palestinian Arabs would today be celebrating 77 years of independent statehood today with pre-1967 borders. They chose war instead and they lost. They chose war several more times and they lost, and here we are again.
