France is like the pimp that beats his tricks badly to make them fear him. Then at the end of the beating he runs her a warm bath and makes her forget he was the one who beat her in the first place. Now she depends on him. At any moment he can beat her again, even worse than before, so she makes sure to do good by him. He owns her mentally so he owns her physically. Sad.
