You: The dark ages are returning. In contrast the Age of Enlightenment has begun in the East.
There does seem to be a shift going on in the global center of power and it does seem to be eastward. I think even the dull US administration seems to recognize it, hence their desperate attempts to stifle China by imposing draconian sanctions on China’s chip industry.
It is visible in US forcing their allies to deny Chinese companies access to servicing and repair support for chip making equipment they already bought! Check ASML- Netherlands. This is an egregious breech of established business principles and it will have deleterious consequences for Western global business interests in all industries. Other countries are watching.
US is also imposing extremely high tariffs on Chinese made EVs and renewable energy equipment. Yet, despite these attempts and the western propaganda pushing talk of potential violent Chinese takeover of Taiwan, neither the US nor its allies can stop the march of human development. All empires rise and fall, America cannot change the laws of nature. What countries can do, is to see the changing tides and align themselves to benefit from the changes they see coming; this is what Russia is doing.
Russia is turning eastward. It is turning its back to the West and forging bonds with China, Vietnam, North Korea, Saudi Arabia and most importantly African countries. Russia is aligning itself with the changing tide while the West plays King Canute trying to hold back the tide.
