The Palestinian jihadi holy-war leaders have promised repeats of October 7 style attacks against Israelis. Since Israeli cannot afford to lose 1100 people in 24 hours, killing an Israeli every 80 seconds, there is little option to put down the rabid jihadis with force. Once the jihadis’ war machine is weakened to the point, that their repeat attacks become less probable, then tapering back of the war may begin. But for now another 18 to 24 months is quite likely.
The farmers know how difficult it is to flush rats under a stack of hay or even worse a garbage dump. The rats keep burrowing, eating and reproducing. But the farmers do succeed if they insist, often with the rodents’ greatest enemy the ratter dogs.
