It seems that Israel with its various risky positions on security, finally chose the one that worked out in response to the Hizzybilly aggression from Lebanon. Tactical decisions, as we have seen from the many wars since mid 20th century, could have went either way on the battle fields, but with much sacrifice, the IDF managed to contain the threats. It seems at least for now, that the Israelis have woken up from their complacent slumber.
