You are either using your personal definition of these two concepts (making your use of them incoherent to me) or don’t realize this is yet another one of your philosophical contradictions. A fatalist believes in a pre-determined universe which they cannot change anything no matter what they do.. A realist believes they understand the true nature of a situation but can still effect change. Realism is often associated with realpolitik although they are not necessarily always synonyms as not all realists believe in realpolitik.
