Israel had no allies in 1947-48 other than weapons supplies from Czechoslovakia it was under an embargo. Czechoslovakia was in fact Russia. The USA was not a factor till well past 1973. Alliances shift and Israel’s alliance with the USA prevents it from getting closer to Russia, China, and India. Trump is the only president who did anything substantive diplomatic for Israel. I like Haley, but she burned too many bridges and is dead politically.
Democracies are unpredictable allies and we are doing the kabuki dance with the USA with every change of President. Agreeing with Biden would be suicide for Israel. The unpredictability means that Israel will cut its military procurement ties with the USA or they may find in the future a President or Congress that is anti-Israel.
