The geographical area of Palestine has never been an independent an independent nation in 2000 years since the Romans sacked Jerusalem 2000 years ago.
In 1947, two stateless people were offered a chance to build two independent states. One chose to build an independent nation, the Arab chose war to gain everything and they lost. Then came the declaration of Statehood in 1948; Israel’s admission to the UN in 1949; and then the recognition of Israel by more than 180 other Countries; and, most of all, the society created by Israel’s people in over seven decades of thriving, dynamic national existence.
