That is precisely why Hltler made it a priority to eliminate the influence of their banks in Germany…which is what caused them to boycott Germany….which lead to Krlstallnacht with Germans boycotting them back…and ultimately caused WW2.
The best solution is to do exactly what Hltler did (insofar as the banks) and separate from them entirely so they lose the ability to control by their perpetual threat to collapse the economy.
Personally, I’d take it a step beyond and re-issue a new currency and ONLY allow individual citizens to exchange the old for the new…rendering everything held by the banks worthless paper…as well as preventing foreign nations from dumping currency to crash our economy.
