The 1947 UN Partition Resolution was an opportunity for two stateless people, both Jews and Arabs, to build an independent nation-state, with their own self government. Arab Countries chose war to gain everything and they lost. Jews went ahead and built a viable nation at the forefront of science and technology.
Israel belongs to those who broke their backs to create a modern State while having to defend this state with their blood on a regular basis. . Had Arabs accepted the 1947 UN Partition Resolution, they would be celebrating 75 years of independent statehood today wit pre-1967 borders. They chose war instead to gain everything and they lost. It was a bad choice, but a choice none the less.
