“Macedonians”
They are about as “Macedonian” as Hamas are the Macabees.. and you know it liar. Greeks didn’t not object to recognizing their state. We didn’t try to annex their country to ours. We didn’t support terrorism against them. What we objected to is the former self-identifying ethnic Bulgarians of the former Yugoslavians use of the name Macedonia. We did this on grounds they would abuse the name to try to rewrite history and promote irredentism against Greece. And lo and behold hat is exactly what they have done while nearly everyone that lectured us evades.
Blame Greeks for our botched government finances. We are not to blame that others lied by claiming them “ethnic” Macedonians. Anyone that plays stupid today over their irredentism and change of identity from Slavs into antihellenic founders of the Hellenistic period has moral no credibility.
