Probably the Hamas rhetoric on the cease-fires is a distraction. Hamas has made it abundantly clear that the 7th of October, 2023, was only the beginning. During the those 24 hours of terror, the Gazans managed to kill an Israeli every 76 seconds. This was proof to the holy-war jihadis that Israel is vulnerable. The jihadi funding nations also saw Israel as weak and will keep the cash flowing as long as more killing of Jews is maintained. So the wars will continue. Not sure who invented the concept of cease-fire.
