When Spain expelled Its Jews in 1492 and Portugal in 1496, the expelled Jews went knocking on the doors of the Muslim countries of Egypt, Morocco, Tunisia, Algeria, Turkey, where they remained for 500 years. Why do you think they chose Muslim countries and why do you think they remained there for 500 years if the Muslims were bad to the Jews?
