The reality is that the entire Mediterranean is filled with mixed cultures from many centuries of Babylonians, Assyrians, Kurds, Armenians, Berbers, Egyptians, Persians, Hebrews, Greeks, Romans, Hispania, Arabs, Ottoman Turks, modern Europeans, etc.
Europe, Africa, and the Middle East have been sharing the Mediterranean since the beginning of recorded history—–for trade, wars, slavery, and food.
