“The last of the JFK assassination files not only shed new light on the CIA’s surveillance of Lee Harvey Oswald and the Pentagon’s approval of false flag operations against President John F. Kennedy’s wishes in mid-1963. They also illuminate a provocative proposal about U.S. policy in the Middle East made last week by investigative reporter Seymour Hersh. While the secrets in the JFK files may be ancient, they are still relevant.
In his latest dispatch, “It’s Bibi’s War,” Hersh observes that the siege of Gaza has revived the future of Prime Minister Benjamin “Bibi” Netanyahu, who was once thought to be finished politically, and emboldened Zionist ambitions to annex the West Bank and eliminate the possibility of an independent state for Palestinian Arabs.
Then Hersh adds this:
“I have had contacts in Washington and in Israel with firsthand information about Israel’s nuclear arsenal. It might be time for senior US officials to break the taboo and begin to talk about the capability of that arsenal and the implications of it being in Netanyahu’s hands. “
