Reading your comment made me almost want to cry because everything that you were saying was so true and compared to the extreme hatred the person who wrote the article was vomiting against the Shia people, it made me feel thankful that there are people like you who have a good understanding of the situation in Lebanon. The population of Lebanon is 5.5 million and the Muslims make up 64% of the population and they are equally divided between Sunni Muslims and Shia Muslims. The Christian population is at 36% which is the highest percentage of Christians of any other country in the Middle East – which makes me suspect that they were an artificially inserted group of Christians in Lebanon and not of Lebanese origin. But something that I must also say before I forget is that according to the Pew research of 2011, 99% of the Lebanese people have strong anti-Jewish sentiments – which means – the Muslims and the Christians of Lebanon do not like Jews!
