The UN is a debating society and nothing else. It is not a world sanctioned order that it was supposed to be but rather a club of dysfunctional state players and various alliances . Within these alliances there is also disparity of thought. Russia , China, France, US of these 5 and the UK are protected by a veto so their actions cannot be scrutinized in any way. The allies are untouchable in most circumstances and so are their actions. Russia and China have cut deeply into these satellite clients who are switching away from the USA, France and China.
Europe has a liberal democratic system that cannot protect their citizens physically, socially. In other words life , liberty , security , housing or even jobs.
It is a world system based on payola for being an fair weather friend.
The West is losing the battle and the war. Its societal concept does not with that of the West in governance and social morale.
The ICC as all judicial systems are an interpretation by individuals of notes that are considered laws that are written for multiple purposes. Africa, an ancient lad, operates on clan based justice and is expected to act us Europeans or even Americans when the justice that they learned from the occupying, Dutch, French or British was a version based on local customs as that is who ran the bureaucracy,
Not sure how many African countries are part of the ICC but their intervention has not changed one iota for their betterment, It just changed players and corruption matters. Nigeria today is a good example of the killing and mutillation and forced conversions of Christians. Where is the ICC after all those years, Tibet is being overrun by Han Chinese, Iraq, Iran, Syria will not give self determination to the Kurds when they are the Original indigenous people before the UK or the Ottomans.
Israel did not join and for good reasons. Article 80 of its founding charter is quite clear and in 1947 Britain put in a proposal to divide again the Land UNGA181 contrary to its Article 80.UNESCO designated Jerusalem, Hevron , Jericho as Palestinains sites, Palestine in not even mentioned in the UN Charter
