Charging both Israelis and Hamas is not seen as indicating some absurd notion of “equivalency”, however just think what criticisms would have arisen if only Netanyahu and Gallant had warrants directed against them. Charging both is not even-handed but tantamount to suggesting both sides are the same, while only charging the Israelis would unquestionably invite all the usual anti-semitism tropes.
