There was never a legitimate Arab-ruled sovereign nation called “Palestine.”
There could have been–five times over–if the Palestinians had only deigned to accept any of the multiple two state offers that have been laid at their feet since 1948. But they have rejected them all–including the one made to them in 1948 under the original Partittion Plan. And the one made to them in 2000 which offered them more than 95% of the “disputed” territories and control over parts of Jerusalem.
But the Palestinians will settle for nothing less than “everything from the river to the sea.” By their own admission, they seek the eradication of Israel and conmplete apartheid. And they mean to achieve it through the extermination of Jews (as indicated in the Hamas Charter.)
