If it were up to you the PKK would be re-classified as freedom-fighters. Tell that to the Kurdish mothers of the young men/women that were tricked and abducted into joining the terrorists in the mountains. They’re crying for the Turkish authorities to bring their children back to safety away from the evil clutches of the PKK. So stop your agitation between Turks and Kurds.
In Turkiye even a leftist is strongly nationalist/patriotic. Get over it. Turkish nationalism is off the scale compared to other nations. And the beauty of it is that it doesn’t pander to racist bigotry. Ask the average Turk who the Greek PM is and he might answer back “Papendreou” or “Makarios” for Cyprus. Because we’re too disinterested to be racist, we’re more focused on ourselves. We know the Greeks suffer from Turkophobia, and this predisposes them to exaggerations and lies. We hope the Greeks come to their senses and show due respect to a much more powerful, yet cooperative neighbour instead of making greedy maximalist claims in the Aegean and Mediterranean Seas.
