ICC– “The Chamber considered that there are reasonable grounds to believe that both individuals intentionally and knowingly deprived the civilian population in Gaza of objects indispensable to their survival, including food, water, and medicine and medical supplies, as well as fuel and electricity, from at least 8 October 2023 to 20 May 2024″
None of that will hold up as the population grew under those conditions, and no one could survive 8 months without those basic necessities.
Second, the ICC had told Hamas that they must release all the hostages “immediately and unconditionally” and it has been a whole year without compliance, leaving Israel no choice but to continue.
I would love to see the trial, as Hamas cannot demand protection under the UN Laws of War and Geneva Conventions when they have violated all of them to force Israel into Gaza.
