With a specific reference to all of Palestine’s post-WW1 territories: in 1947 and 1948 – both the US Department of State and Iran understood how our UN Charter spirit was designed to protect the democratic principle. (The international community’s post WW1 Palestine Mandate was similarly clear in its goal to protect the interest of each and every permanent resident in the land without favour – irrespective their particular individual faith.)
Khamenei’s recall for how a ‘Presidential-led USA’ has consistently trashed our UN process and our ‘International Law’ since 1948, is a bitter one. Understandably so.
Khamenei’ prediction that the influence of the US and her future capacity-as-nation have entered paths of terminal decline? Are hard to refute.
