The WH bs’er Johnny Kirby oversimplifies by stating: “Israel is not alone in facing threats from Iran. It has steadfast allies prepared to come to its defense,”

Kirby got part of it right in that Arabs are worried about Iran’s expanding presence on the Arab peninsula, but their motives were not to defend Israel, rather to defend the Arab peninsula, upon which Israel is a part. The underlying strength of the Abraham Accords to defend the Arabian peninsula, is why Turkiye and Iran both, see the Israeli-Arab cooperation as a threat to the Turkish and Iranian expansion plans.
