Israel’s dominant military and economy is mostly because of Jewish seculars and more moderate religious elements. While Sharia types are sticking their bums in the air five times a day, many Jews are doing physics, math, computer science, engineering et al. Much like Hamas, the ultra religious segment among Jews would turn Israel into Afghanistan if left to their own devices.
