I would agree the US and the Israeli government sometimes support extremists as a proxy against their enemy but I don’t see how you can lecture them when you yourself seem to support extremists in the form of theocratic Iran when it suits you. As religioius extremists elements in Afghanistan, they existed before the US armed them against the Soviets. And they existed long after relations with the US soured. Blaming the US for Islamic extremism going on in Afghanistan today is intellectually dishonest.
