What is the actual rationalization behind a Jewish state seeking to control the holiest city in Islam? I mean, even if Israel were to be seized by the religious nutters, what would the rationale behind controlling Mecca be? Sheer spite?
And if Israel still continued to be controlled by a secular Zionist govt? What would the incentive be then? This is a genuine question I have.
