This is one of the most shocking episodes in the history of the IDF,which until today was only a rumor and its details are revealed here for the first time in full. It deals with a department whose soldiers captured a Bedouin girl on August 12, 1949. After bathing her and trimming her hair she was raped an unknown number of times, executed and buried near the outpost. Twenty soldiers, led by the lieutenant colonel, were prosecuted for their involvement in rape and murder, and were sentenced to various prison terms.
