For seventeen years the jihadis squeezed the wealth from the Gazans to build up their holy-roller war machine. However, about 10% of the Gazans, both militias and not, were affiliated to this regime. Now with the ensuing war, the jihadi organisations are crumbling and slowly and quasi surely, these folks that once prospered, are now bewildered on how to survive. They know if they go to the safer zones, many of them will be scrutinised by the majority non-jihadi population, especially if they participated in jihadi crimes against the Gazans. War is ugly and post war can even be uglier.
