“Bulgarian action committees – After the defeat of the Yugoslav army, a group of Macedonian Bulgarians headed by Spiro Kitincev arrived in Macedonia and started preparations for the coming of the Bulgarian army and administration in Macedonia.[44][page needed] The first of the Bulgarian Action Committees was formed in Skopje on 13 April 1941. Former IMRO[45][46] members in Vardar Macedonia were active members of this committee.
