This new Biden Proposal, is the new empty words, Israel did not to be secured from Palestinian F-35 Jets, with 500, 1000, 2000 pound bombs, not from Palestinian Merkava tanks, the Palestinians even did not raid every night Israeli, Cities and catch or kill their Citizens.
The Palestinians did not fire at all Israeli boats, which leaves the Israel Coastline.
Those besieged in Gaza did had lived by this State terror since 2 decades.
They suffered by the siege, all the time, they couldn’t fish, couldn’t build livestocks, which wouldn’t get destroyed by Israeli forces… The siege took their possibilities, to travel, fish, have normal goods get in and out of Gaza.
The other part is the violence in the Westbank and the NGO’s, which also had to suffer by the indiscriminate killing, there is no words about accountability for UNRWA, WFP, MSF, NRC victims, which got killed by indiscriminate airstrikes on ambulance, hospitals, healthcare workers of international organisations, human-rights organisations, humanitarian aid organisations.
No words about their demands, to end the impunity and hold perpetrators accountable. As MSF has written and also the UN bodies, the Killing of Palestinians and humanitarian aid organisation employees or volunteers, did not started on Okt.7
Also Journalists got killed before Okt.7, there should be no impunity for such grave violations of IHL, Rome Statute, Geneva conventions and other warcrimes or crimes against humanity.
Therefore Bidens proposal is just a joke in favor of another: Impunity for another Military escalation of the IDF, to let them get away with the systematic, collective punishment, starve, kill, besiege, mass atrocities, torture and forcibly disappearance of palestinians, a group which should be protected under occupation, not persecuted, tortured, killed, maimed, ethnic cleansed…
Palestinians of Gaza, which are under 16years old, they only know planes bringing death. Not for anything good, like to travel or to have it as option, for some nice days on holidays by plane, in different parts of the World.
Only Surveillance, or death and maiming by it.
That is the ongoing trauma they have to live under all the time.
But it is was a very desperate step by Biden, to not get totally sidelined and having lost all the trust left, in the middle east, to be any credible partner in the region and for peace, all partners feel betrayed and the whole Rest of the World: Be it European, be it Arab/Muslim or African partners in the World, all got together to move forward, even if it is without the US,
China is a more friendly partner by their trade or foreign deals, for bring more peaceful end to conflicts.
That has put him in a very serious position, where the US could have lost many partners and there leverage or trust of partners in the middle east against their most serious challenging countries, in the World… China could maybe be the better partner of the middle east and africa, that is a serious
problem, which Biden and the US intelligence agencies, simply could not longer ignore.
That is why, by an blink of an eye, Biden changed his mind, to quickly propose something of a deal, which the Israeli government, maybe could have interest to sign the deal.
But it is totally lopsided, again in the favor of Israel, to come back to a status quo and to something agreed, to grant Israel another impunity, from accountability, for their grave violations of the rome statute and UN-Charter or geneva conventions and IHL.
The pressure is huge.
