Essentially the jihadis have what they wanted … a demonstration of Israel’s defensive border weaknesses and luring the IDF into war. So, it is very doubtful that the jihadis want an end to the war. In the meantime the IDF continues to identify the locations of the hostages and wait for the moment to attempt the rescues, knowing quite well that soldiers and perhaps some hostages will die in the rescue attempts. Now both sides prepare for firing back up the war. The jihadis will be glad to get back to trying to take more Israeli live. The IDF back to degrading the jihadis’ war machine.
