European Jews did not arrive in Palestine as colonialist because a colonial adventure would require them to have an army, a navy, an air force, and they had none of these – in fact, they used to live in the ghettos of Eastern Europe and they used to be a very poor people. The way they acquired that land was first, the Imperial Powers had to grab that land and then hand it over to them. The British lived in Aden, Yemen, for 130 years and they were very much interested in holding on to that land forever, but then they faced the indigenous population who threw them out of the land in 1967. The case of the French in Algeria is almost the same because they too remained in Algeria for 130 years and they did not want to let go of that country – but the indigenous population rose up and kicked them out in 1962. And yet the Arabs could not manage to remove the Jews in Palestine who came from the ghettos of Eastern Europe and the reason is because America is determined to never let them be removed. Then Jews in Palestine are100% dependent on an external power to let them stay there in Palestine.
