Re: Israel: retired general praises Hamas ‘resilience’ in Gaza

Really? I just saw a disgusting ad on TV last night with some Israeli woman begging me to send her $48 “immediately” to help the poor, destitute Israeli public with “basic needs” like food, water, and medical care. Wonder where that money is going to in reality since Israel “has none of these problems” – your words! The body count also is lopsided because the Palestinians are losing babies and women, whereas the majority of the Israeli deaths are soldiers and reservists. As much as the IDF is taking the international press around the few buildings near the Gaza border (that were rocketed and fired at by IDF helicopters and tank shells), you’d think the whole damn country was reduced to rubble. Lastly, if Israel is truly winning, why haven’t they been able to achieve A SINGLE GOAL of their war aims? After 2 and a half months of the “most moral army in the world” blasting cities to rubble from 30,000 feet, incinerating their won hostages, I would say Israel winning at this point is akin to US generals saying that they were winning the war in Vietnam.
