Lehi acted as an independent group and was disbanded in 1948. If it is all true then it was a horrific war crime and cannot be justified. Taking that village was justified because it was on the high ground and Jews were being sniped at, but it is not an excuse to murder the innocent.
On the other hand, it is no excuse for what Hamas did on Oct 7, which not only got 1500 people killed and hundreds of hostages takes, but it caused far more damage to innocent Palestinian Arabs whom Hamas has hidden amongst.
