One thing that almost every story about Israel /Hezbollah leaves out is that from oct 8th, Hezbollah has said they will stop the hostilities as soon as Israel comes to a ceasefire in Gaza. If Isreal really cares about letting thier people return safely to the north all they have to do is stop being the dead horse that is Gaza.
Israel’s fascist leadership no more cares for the safety of Israelis in the north then they ever cared about the lives hostages held by Hamas. Just as Netanyahu and his far right cabinet treated the hostages as forgone casualties while using their attempts to rescue them as an excuse for all out war on Gaza, they now see their own citizens as pawns to be casually wiped off the board by retaliatory rocket strikes, to justify an all out war in Southern Lebanon.
Israel is now making all out war on all the Arabs in “biblical Isreal”. The Jewish Supremacists in the cabinet and spread throughout Israel’s society at large, have made no secret of their desire and will to “unite” biblical Israel and expel the arabs.
In the American press I’m used to reading, the far rights’ goal of creating a Greater Isreal are never factored into the explanations of why Isreal does what it does. As if they could not be having any influence. As if their ideas are beyond the pale. Hezbollah’s standing offer to end hostilities when there is a Gaza cease fire is left out too. Every escalation by Israel is portrayed as an effort to obtain peace. There is always an explanation.
