Those Palestinians within the 1948 borders are internally displaced people. For example most that live in Nazareth were forced out of their ancestral villages surrounding Nazareth and into the city. Even though they’re “Israeli citizens” they’re still unable to access their lands. It was given to Jews. So they live poor in the city while foreign Jews live rich on their lands. One of those villages is the village my mother’s family is from. It was the same village mother Mary was born. They destroyed the village and planted a monoculture forest over it to hide their crimes. My mother family had to flee to a refugee camp in Lebanon. My mother was born in the refugee camp.
