It’s easy to see why many think this “agreement” is a dog’s dinner, and that some would have preferred to carry on until there was an unconditional surrender by Hamas. I suppose, at the end of the day, both parties felt it wiser to submit to the will of Trump, and then Hamas felt it would be OK to start playing games and no one would notice.
