But wait…its the only Democracy in the Middle East….Well, the only one that arrests thousands of people without charges indefinitely and deprives them of adequate water, food, and medical care….or arrests people for saying the wrong thing on social media…or arrests and beats people for non-violent protesting….or collapses the homes of entire families because one of their kids was accused (not convicted) of having wrong political opinions.
Yes it’s a very “special” kind of “Democracy” that isn’t burdened with all those outdated concepts like civil rights. /s
