The French, the British, the Italians, did not manage to have an irreversible reality on the ground in the Middle East even though they had very strong armies, air force, navy – on the other hand – what we have in Palestine are a group of people who used to live in the ghettos of Eastern Europe for many centuries, who used to have not enough food to eat on a daily basis. So how do you expect the Jews from the ghettos of Eastern Europe to have a much higher chance of remaining in Palestine when the French, the British, the Italians failed?
