In war there is sometime collateral damage. Sometimes that includes your own group. The very fact Hamas randomly took “hostages”, like common gangsters, only further undermined their credibility. Where Palestinians do have a legit grip is some of the Jewish settlers behave like terrorists themselves.
In a democracy, only the elected government gets to enforce justice, not random paramilitary wackos. Allowing for that sort of thing leads to a breakdown in civilized behaviour. In Greece we have anarchists and communist thugs that have turned rioting into a national sport. We have Golden Dawn that think they can randomly attack migrants and even leftist Greeks. When it comes to this issue, I don’t care what ideology someone has or what their background is. if they terrorize the streets like savages straight to jail. Peaceful protest… democratic right. Attacks against police, setting fires, vandalism, violent threats, are not “protesters” as apologists of this criminal behaviour like to frame it.. They are terrorists.
