I’ve never suggested for Israel to lay down its arms. My suggestion for the conflict would be de-Hamas Gaza (and anywhere else in Israel there are vocal Hamas supporters) much like the US de-Nazified Germany. Then two-state solution when done. Deporting them without a Palestinian state to deport them to won’t end their extreme hostility towards Jews. Only a compromise can bring day-to=day normalcy even if imperfect. The militants among Hamas are a terrorist threat to Israel but some Jewish (and Christian) pundits need to stop acting like they are an existential threat. Israel just sent them back to the stone age in about a month.
My other point about was that some shmoe, regardless what side of the conflict they are, that randomly attacks someone else for the sake of their politics, should face legal consequences for what amounts to terrorism regardless their background or political ideology.. Civilization right?
