Right of return wouldn’t work. I think forced relocation of both Palestinians and some Jewish settlers to form mostly homogeneous states would work. This is what happened with Greece and Turkey in the early 20th century and it worked. It also happened during the Balkan wars too. It didn’t end hostility forever but it sure was better than constant war and terrorism.
The former Yugoslavians, mostly ethnic Bulgarians that hide their heritage, to this day are trying to rob us of our very identity so they can play pretend they are antihellenic founders of the Hellenistic period. They use to constantly insinuate 1/4 of Greece belongs to them. Nearly the entire planet, including so-called human rights groups and mainstream media play stupid over this obvious lying about history and irredentism. At this juncture its become very apparent to many Greeks nearly everyone that supported them well knew they weren’t “Macedonians” anymore than they are “Spartans” but used them as a proxy to harass Greeks. And it backfired in their faces when they switched identities from Slavs into ancient Macedonians. Now everyone evades.
And yet I still support their right to exist in their own homeland. If you expect that if the Palestinian are gone the issue will be closed you are mistaken. They will just keep fighting from other states. What then? More wars until everyone loves you and no one left that is antisemitic? Won’t happen. I have to listen to rampant antihellenism all the time. And unlike antisemetism it does not get reported on by the same lying evaders that claimed former Yugoslavians “Macedonians”. Life goes on.
