The Geneva Convention was not violated by Israel, it was violated by Hamas. On the first day of this war, Oct. 7th. Hamas fired over 5,000 rockets into Israel. Was that a war crime? Yes, spelled out clearly in that Convention. Why a war crime? Because every rocket was unguided, therefore meant to kill men, women and children wherever they landed. Now did Hamas also commit genocide on this first day? Yes, they massacred over 200 men, women and children who were not armed, non combatant and no threat whatsoever because they were just attending a music festival. This was clearly genocide as per the Geneva Convention. Did Hamas commit other war crimes on this first day? Yes, they took over 200 people in Israel as hostages, again men, women and children who were not armed and no threat whatsoever, another war crime. When Hamas places operatives,munitions in places like schools, hospitals and mosques, they are committing a war crime. If Israel hits these places, the Geneva Convention says they are now legitimate war targets, no longer schools, mosques, hospitals, etc. During the 1.5 year “great march of return”, Hamas bussed children to the front lines of this march every week for all of this time. 46 children were killed and almost 8,000 injured. The parents allowed this because they are complacent with what Hamas does. What kind of parents would permit their children to fact this kind of danger? Now you can see who are the real culprits.
